Jeff Opendo is the Newest Member of NO CHOICE!

After making music with AfterMath for over 8 years, Jeff Opendo (former band leader and violinist of AfterMath) officially joins NO CHOICE as violinist from October, 2013 onwards. 

Formed in April, 2013, NO CHOICE is a six-piece alternative-rock band based in the neighbourhood of Tanauan City, Batangas, Philippines. The band is composed of lead vocalist Russel Conese, lead guitarist Anel Carandang, bassist and backing vocalist Daves Salisi, violinist Jeff Opendo, guitarist and backing vocalist RJ Gilla and drummer/ percussionist Denmarc Baldeo.

NO CHOICE and its membership went through some reconfigurations since the time the band was formed. Anel, the band’s founding member and Daves (both from the alternative band, Decoy – one of the finalists in the 2012 RJ – ALASKA Family and Friends Music Treat Band Competition) started NO CHOICE. They recruited RJ and Denmarc who used to be part of a rock band called Abencoe, to join the band. Russel and Jeff (former violinist / band leader of AfterMath) were recruited to join in as well thereafter.

Altogether, the band creates their own musical style and writes their own songs, giving the audience a new taste of OPM (Original Pilipino Music). NO CHOICE also organises different activities, events & gigs for a cause to help their local community and those less fortunate, whilst promoting OPM and their original works.

...Spending approximately 2 solid months on 7 award entries for the company, my faithful labour had paid off when the company that I serve at the time was recognised as finalist for 2 award categories in the 6th International ICT Awards namely, Fatest Growing BPO Company of the Year and Quality Program of the Year. Moreover, my editorial article about the event was published on the Career Guide Section of the Philippine STAR on April 15, 2012.

Tanauan City will surely have new songs to sing, as we're looking to get these songs out by Q1 of 2013.

July 13, 2012 • Resorts World Sentosa Convention Centre, Singapore --- Representing the Philippines and the company that I serve at the time in the 7th Asia Pacific Top Ranking Performers Conference & Awards (2012), hosted by ContactCenterWorld, I was ranked # 1 in the Asia Pacific Region, awarded the gold medal for the Best Operational Manager Award, and selected as a judge and presenter of operations management best practices. With over 1,500 entrants this year, I, together with 4 other colleagues successfully brought home a total of 7 awards (4 gold medals, 2 silver medals & 1 bronze medal)... Jeff Opendo holds a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, and is a proud alumnus of De La Salle Lipa, 1999 - 2003.
