Jeff's 2012: Year In Review

The following highlights are indeed the ones that I am most grateful and thankful for this year, despite of the challenges and obstacles I've gone through. Not only they have brought me joy, love, hope and peace, but they've also strengthen my faith so that I may carry on and face the future with renewed vigour and a higher purpose." --- Jeff Opendo

...The destined acquisition of a French handmade, antique violin which was originally crafted for an artist named, Eugene Blanchard (Paris, France - 1948).

...Spending approximately 2 solid months on 7 award entries for the company, my faithful labour had paid off when the company that I serve at the time was recognised as finalist for 2 award categories in the 6th International ICT Awards namely, Fatest Growing BPO Company of the Year and Quality Program of the Year. Moreover, my editorial article about the event was published on the Career Guide Section of the Philippine STAR on April 15, 2012.

July 15, 2012: With a heart filled with meaningful reflection and joyful thanksgiving, I was given a significant opportunity to go back to the place where I was found; the place where I was born again and baptised in 2008 --- East Coast Park, Singapore.

...After the band's first compilation album, "Behind The Sin", AfterMath has began working on a new compilation album entitled, "Awit, Sayaw at mga Hiling sa Bulalakaw" since Q3 of 2012. This upcoming compilation album will feature our newest compositions including MAKATI DREAM, TRILOGY (instrumental ~ Eulogy, Requiem & Pangil Medley from the Lipa Actors Company's Ang Unang Aswang theatrical play), WALANG PAMAGAT (the theme song of an independent motion picture entitled, Huwag Mo Akong Ibigin) and AKIN KA. Tanauan City will surely have new songs to sing, as we're looking to get these songs out by Q1 of 2013.

July 13, 2012 • Resorts World Sentosa Convention Centre, Singapore --- Representing the Philippines and the company that I serve at the time in the 7th Asia Pacific Top Ranking Performers Conference & Awards (2012), hosted by ContactCenterWorld, I was ranked # 1 in the Asia Pacific Region, awarded the gold medal for the Best Operational Manager Award, and selected as a judge and presenter of operations management best practices. With over 1,500 entrants this year, I, together with 4 other colleagues successfully brought home a total of 7 awards (4 gold medals, 2 silver medals & 1 bronze medal)... It was such a great victory for the Philippines - the new capital of contact centres, as cited by the New York Times in November, 2011. Having the entrants represent their respective nation and compete for the gold, ContactCenterWorld selects only the very best in the competition. The Annual Top Ranking Performers Conference & Awards is considered the Olympics of contact centres and contact centre professionals.

August 2012 • Jeff Opendo on De La Salle Lipa --- Jeff Opendo recorded and submitted a video testimonial to support LaSalle's PAASCU (Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges & Universities) accreditation application. Jeff Opendo holds a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, and is a proud alumnus of De La Salle Lipa, 1999 - 2003.

...The establishment of 'Gig A Bite' (bar & cafe) in October 2012 has inspired me to become an entrepreneur. --- "A massive thanks to my ever dearest friends and partners KayCee, Jayson and AfterMath's Jefrie and Kiko. Thank you very much indeed for the vision, values, faith and the significant learning experience that we share. The future holds a whole lot more!"

"Fortune really does favour the bold; when to be bold is to be obedient, to walk by faith and not by sight, and to never compromise values!" ...Jeff Opendo will serve Accenture (a FORTUNE500, global management consulting, technology services & outsourcing company with approximately 259,000 people serving clients in more than 120 countries) as a Digital Presence Delivery Lead (onsite project manager dealing with marketing and digital advertising), dedicated to a FORTUNE100 client (a multinational consumer goods company) starting January, 2013. What a way to start the year!
